TUZLA CAMPUS

Istanbul Okan University has five dormitory buildings with a total capacity of 1,500

students; all located within its main Tuzla Campus.

Dormitory Features

• Separate dormitory buildings for female and male students.
• All dormitory buildings are located on the same campus as the university buildings.
• The dormitories feature study rooms, a laundry room, an ironing room, a prayer room, both wired and wireless internet access, and 24-hour hot water service,  all available for students’ use free of charge.
• All dormitories have 24-hour shift staff, including both reception and administrative personnel, who are attentive to students’ concerns and suggestions, striving to provide a peaceful and secure environment for students.
• All dormitory buildings are located within the campus area, and both the campus and the dormitories are monitored by the Istanbul Okan University security team and a 24-hour camera system. Additionally, a nurse and ambulance are available 24/7, providing healthcare services when necessary.
• For students’ social activities, we offer free services such as movie days, theater performances, and sports facilities (football, volleyball, and basketball courts) located in the common areas of the dormitories.
• The cleaning of all dorm rooms and common areas is carried out by experienced staff.
• Each dorm room is equipped with a bathroom, toilet, mini and midi refrigerators, telephone, study desk, wardrobes, and a plasma TV.
• In addition, the Istanbul Okan University Psychological Counseling and Guidance Center (OPDEM), located on campus, offers psychological counseling and guidance services to students in need.
• The dormitories are just 10 minutes away from Sabiha Gökçen Airport, providing students from outside Istanbul with a convenient and quick way to reach their accommodation.
• Students can also make free use of the fully equipped gym and swimming pool, and upon providing the required documents, they can use the campus parking areas free of charge.
• Our university students can also benefit from the university’s SPA Center. The SPA center includes a semi-olympic indoor swimming pool, massage services, a steam room, and a sauna.
• Fitness Center covers an area of 1800 square meters and includes a cardio area with 12 treadmills, 6 elliptical cross trainers, 4 horizontal and vertical bikes, 1 rowing machine, and 2 steppers. It also features a machine circuit designed to work all muscle groups and free weight stations. The center is situated in a spacious, high-ceilinged environment illuminated by natural daylight, allowing you to train while enjoying a view of the pool.
• Studio Trainings; you can stay in shape, relieve stress, and have fun while working out with classes like Pilates, Spinning, Max Abs, Core Athletic, Total Body, Classic Aerobics, Taibo, Step, and Zumba. It’s a great opportunity to spend enjoyable time with friends.
• Spinning is an exciting group activity that keeps entertainment and motivation high with music and visuals. It involves standing and sitting while adjusting speed and pedal resistance, even losing yourself in the moment and dancing wildly on the bike. This activity will push your endurance to the limit, improve it, and help tone and tighten your body.
• Squash Courts; for those who love to work out without realizing how time flies or how many calories they burn, we offer 2 squash courts as the perfect choice.

Restaurants & Cafeteria

At Istanbul Okan University; there are 4 dining halls that provide spacious, high-quality, healthy and different tastes to all our students, academic and administrative staff, 2 cafeterias that provide fast-food service, 5 canteens, 1 market that provides kebab, lahmacun and pita services. There is 1 restaurant, 3 A la Carte Restaurants serving World Cuisine, 1 Patisserie, Burger King, Starbucks, and 24-hour food and beverage vending machines and canteens in the dormitory buildings. All our food and beverage establishments are checked with uninterrupted internal and external inspections to ensure quality and safety. Continuous inspection activities are carried out without compromising hygiene.

Hotel & Residences

For hotel accommodation near our Tuzla Campus with convenient facilities, Miracle Istanbul Asia Airport Hotel & SPA, Hampton by Hilton Istanbul Kurtköy, and Mövenpick Hotel Istanbul Asia Airport are recommended options. The ISG Airport Hotel, located inside the airport, also offers convenient accommodation for our students and their families. In addition, other chain hotels and residences in the Kurtköy area can be preferred for short-term stays.

Dormitories & Residences

The Şişli Campus is located in the city center and is within walking distance of public transportation systems such as the metro and Metrobüs, making it easily accessible for students from all parts of the city.
